Seit 1997 muslimisches Gräberfeld auf Feld 10 im östlichsten Teil, durch Hecken abgeschirmt, Gräber mit Blick nach Mekka; eine Bestattung ohne Sarg lässt das sächsische Bestattungsrecht nicht zu. Die Stadt hat ein Faltblatt „Muslimische Bestattungen in Leipzig“ in mehreren Sprachen herausgegeben.
